“Hello Autumn Groove” Target Beauty Box October 2018

img_6354This month I had the chance to try out Target’s beauty box! I was excited to try these because they are different than other beauty boxes, like Birchbox and Ipsy, for example. Every month, Target launches a new box for purchase, so there is no subscription. The boxes also ship for free! You can also purchase these any day (until they are out of stock, obviously). Unfortunately, they usually end up going out of stock before you can even get ahold of them, but, if you check their website there are some left for this month. Every Target beauty box includes at least six beauty items and a coupon for some of the items in the box. What I like about these boxes is that you see what you are getting beforehand, so you know if your money is being well spent. Not to mention, these boxes go for a very affordable $5 and have free shipping. This months theme is “Hello Autumn Groove.” Here are the items I received:

Olay Total Effects Whip Facial Moisturizer

With the weather getting cooler, there comes dry and uneven summer skin. My skin is naturally dry and does get very dry when it gets cold outside, so I like that this box had a moisturizer to try out. This new moisturizer from Olay uses innovative technology to transform from a heavy, almost whip-like formula and blends like butter onto the skin. As I mentioned, my skin is very sensitive and can get pretty dry; this moisturizer did not irritate my sensitive skin. In fact, it made my face feel amazing. A little bit of product really does go a long way, so this sample should last me at least three to four weeks.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion

I have used this lotion before and had great results. Although, I have changed my skin care routine since then and since I am currently breaking out, so I had no idea it how it would effect my skin. After trying this out on my face, it irritated my skin. I have eczema on my hands and Cetaphil has always helped clear it up. So, this lotion feels great on my body, just not my face.

bliss Dry/Wet Make-Up Melt

If you know me, then you know my love for bliss! I have used this product, and I am actually about half-way done with my full-size so I am going to save it! This is another reason I love beauty boxes because if I get a product that I already use or know I will use again in the future, it isn’t a waste. Not to mention, this sample size is actually a really generous size! I don’t wear makeup that often, so I don’t use this makeup melt that much, although it does work great as a regular facial cleanser, too.

Love Beauty & Planet Coconut Water & Mimosa Shampoo and Conditioner

I honestly have never heard of this brand until I purchased this box, and after doing my research, I was happy to see that this brand is silicone, paraben free, and safe for colored hair. Although it’s not sulfate free, I still plan on giving this brand a try in a couple of weeks. I like to try my hair samples at certain times, and I also like to mix my toning shampoo in with my samples to help the product last a lot longer!

Toms Of Maine White Clean Mint Natural Toothpaste

I have been using the same brand of toothpaste, Sensodyne, for years, and although I don’t like to switch up my toothpaste, I tried this the other morning and loved it. There isn’t much to say about toothpaste; the only thing that was noticeably different was that the actual did a better job at cleaning my teeth, if that makes sense? Also, some toothpaste leaves a yucky aftertaste in my mouth, but this did not. After doing my research and comparing Toms to Sensodyne, both brands do have a lot in common, and Toms is slightly cheaper. So, I think I am going to switch it up once I finish up this sample and see my results after a longer time frame.
